Many of us can look at our lives and see things fly by at a rapid pace. Some of us would like to relive years in the past, others yet can't wait to move on to the next chapter. Whatever situation you are in, it is important not to live in the past or what might be in the future. It is absolutely crucial and necessary that we live in the here and now. The past will not come about again, and the future is yet to be shaped.
Wishing that you were still in the college years is foolish, as it shows that you have not embraced the wisdom that God has taught you since then. Living in the future of what might be is robbing yourself and God of continuing a work in your life right now in the present. It is not about me just saying flipitantly that you have to be content with your life now, but truly living your life that way. It might not be a bed of roses for you or what you expected at this stage in life, but it is YOUR LIFE!!! Only you can live it, and only you can learn from it.
Are you willing to exercise wisdom and show others that you are making the best of your current situation? Nobody likes to see somebody wallow in self-pity and remorse. If you are depressed and discouraged and not understanding why we go through these "Seasons" of life, then pray and ask Jesus to show you what He would have you learn through this time. As the seasons change, so might our circumstances. However, we should never veer from the solid foundation that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ provides for us. Put your dependence on Him...
